APPRENTICE PAINT TECHNICIAN

You will be trained to prepare, spray and refinish vehicles so they are restored to their pre-accident condition. You will learn the general principals of spray painting technology, paint composition, paint mixing and various methods of paint spraying to a range of vehicles ensuring there are no defects.

You will learn how to:

• Set up painting equipment
• Sand down and prepare bodywork
• Select, match and mix colours
• Apply Primer Coats, colour coats and lacquers
• Carry out quality checks
• Clean and maintain equipment.
